There is specious building (built up area is 4146sq.m.) with well stocked library hall, separate U. G. C room for U. G. C books, reading room facility for student & faculty members, Internet facility for staff and student, stack section facility , issue counter, reference section, periodical section, etc. Well furniture for U. G. C. Books & senior- junior books, display for new arrivals & for old periodicals. Book bank scheme is made available for poor & handicapped, besides the books are available to students & ex-students appearing for competitive examinations and against I-card in library house. News papers, magazines are available in the library.

Dictionary, Encyclopedia & magazines are issued on I-card to the students. The students are issued the required books on demand slips. They get classics & books for a week. Our library promotes and provides online information sources through N-list database and free online information sources to the users.

LIBRARY SOFTWEAR - VIDYASAGAR

The library at Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College is partially automated through an Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS) called Vidyasagar. This software is developed by Easy and Useful, based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.Vidyasagar ILMS offers various modules, including Masters, book management with barcode facility, book accession membership circulation, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), cataloging, and administrative features like database backup and restore facilities, as well as book reservation options.With the help of Vidyasagar, the library can easily manage the status of books, including those that have been withdrawn, written off, damaged, lost, or paid for. The software is connected to a vast collection of over 11,31,000 books and serves more than 60 college libraries' OPACs, making it a comprehensive and efficient tool for library management.
