Department of Economics
The Department of Economics, established in 1965, is one of the oldest department of Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj. The department aims to quality education to the students from Miraj as well as nearby rural area. It provides knowledge about the allocation of scarce resources, current national as well as international economic issues, concepts and numerous public policies which are useful to the students for decision making in their everyday life. The department offers an excellent foundation for the students to undertook the research to study the socio-economic problems of nearby areas. Department conduct value added courses, curricular and co-curricular activities to increase the subject knowledge of students.
