As considering need of Commerce education in the area, college decided to start Commerce Faculty in the year 1965 & started B. Com course in the specialization Adv. Accounting, Adv. Costing, Industrial Management & Adv. Banking.  As the day by day demand for commerce education increases the college start PG programme in Adv. Accounting for Commerce students & received recognition for M.Com from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in the year 2021. Today Department is running with total 586 students of which  543  students pursuing their B. Com &  43  students are pursuing PG as M.com with elective subject Advanced Accountancy. All the faculty members are well qualified and always have taken active participation in research work. The strength of our department is its devoted faculty and innovative flexible co and extra curricula.                                                                                                                                                                              
Department of commerce conduct various activities for the students in the form of Guest lectures, Workshops, seminars, group discussion Quiz Competition, Brain Storming, Trade Fair ,SPARK 2K23 etc. Department run Career oriented course of Income Tax Procedure & Practice, Tally ERP 9, Internet Banking Accounts Executive free course sanctioned by Maharashtra Government. Along with this E-Commerce, Research Analytics and Management Accounting short term courses were also run by the department
